Managing Director and Founder John Smith launched Smith Recruitment in 2018, after noticing that Carlisle lacked a specialised construction recruitment agency. John knew he could use his wealth of experience and passion to provide the local area with great talent—and exceptional service.

Over the last four years, Smith recruitment has expanded beyond just construction to include Accountancy and Finance, HR, Health and Safety, Office Support—and many other areas. Working in partnership with businesses in Cumbria and North England to support them in business growth and development through sourcing and consultancy.
